London, Octobei<22. Among the British naval men interned at Groningen, in Northern Holland, are 12 who were not aware that the British had retreated, and who continued to hold an Antwerp redoubt, between two of the forts.
A Bub-lieutenant sent three men to milk cows in the vicinity. Immediately afterwards, he was astonished to see a heavy column of German infantry coming near his trenches. He ordered silenco till the enemy had marched past. Meanwhile, the milkers had returned to the trenches.
