ILLNESS OF LIEUT.-GENERAL VON MOLTKE. (Eeeeired October 23, 11.43 p.m.) London, October 2-2. Lieutenant-General Helmuth Von Moltke, Chief of the German General Staff, is dying from liver complaint. An Amsterdam message states that many officers ascribe the check to "the German advance to Lieutenant-General Von Moltke : s forced retirement.
