o CHARGE AGAINST SECRETARY. [JTC TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. Ik the Magistrate's Court" to-day, Ernest J. Jones, secretary of the Waterside Workers' Union, at present under suspension by the president, was charged with having fradnlently omitted to * account for 4s. Counsel for the prosecution said further charges were pending, as the result of audit proceedings. He asked: for an adjournment. Counsel for accused protested against a remand, which, he said, was sought for ulterior motives, to prejudice Jones, whose case was to be considered by the union next week. A remandi was granted till Tuesday. .
