CHARGE OF EMBEZZLEMENT MANAGING DIRECTOR REMANDED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, (Received October 22, 11 p.m.) London, October 21. George McDonald, the managing director of the New Zealand Oil, fields, Ltd., has been remanded on a charge of embezzling £7500. The charge is the outcome of the defendant's examination in the recent proceedings relating to the com. pany's bankruptcy. A public inquiry was held in London on March. 13, 1914, before Mr. Registrar Mansoi, into the- affairs of tho New, Zealand Oilfields, Limited. The, liquidation account? showed liabilities £2351, assets valued at £37,105, :ind a deficiency oi £137.126. with regard to coatributories. Mr. George McDonald was the only wit' ness.
