At Coromandel sale on Thursday, the yards were completely filled with cattle of a good class. At Waiuku Yards, on Saturday, there was a full yarding of stock, and prices were on a par with late sales. Lambs were yarded in large numbers, and sold at, for best quality, from 19s 9d to £1 2s 6d, others 13s to 19a; store ditto, 7s to 12s 6d. Pigs came forward in full numbers, and sold at better rates. Largo baconers sold at from £3 ISs to £4 103; baconers, £3 3s to £3 17s; large porkers, £2 10s to £3; porkers, 30s to £2 os? weaners, 10s to 17s; sow and young realised £5 19s.

During the week we sold a draft of beef Devon bullocks, from Messrs. Smith Bros., Matakohe, for £15 each in the paddocks.

Alfred Buckland and Sons report as follows: — At the Haymarket on Friday last, horses came forward in full numbers; aged draughts brought from £18 10s to £26; bakers' and grocers' cart class, £16 5s to £24; light harness sorts, £7 to £15 10s; buggy horses and hacks, £11 10s to £21; gig ponies, £3 10s to £12; spring trap, £11 10s. On Thursday, October 15, we held a clearance sale or Mr. R. Prendergast's, Maungatawhiri. There was a large attendance of buyers, and satisfactory prices were obtained.

We held our usual monthly salo at Pokeno on Monday, October 19, and had a large yarding of stock. -Buyers were in attendance, and all classes were in demand at prices similar to those ruling at Runciman the day following. We held our seoond cattle fair of the season at Runciman on Tuesday, October 20, when the yards woro completely filled. The major portion were well-bred three to five-year-old steers. There wa3 a very large attendance, and competition was good for all classes, although several pons were passed at the hammer. Most of these were disposed of privately.
