STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. Only a small volume of business, was transacted on the Stock Exchange yes•terday. In standard stocks South British Insurances were sold at 81s 6d and more were in demand at 80s, late sellers asking 83s. A sale in Auckland Tramways (ord.) was reported at 22s 6d. In mining lines Waihi Grand Junctions were placed at 23s 3d and there were further buyers at 23s' and sellers at 23s 3d. Waihis were quoted with sellers at 33s 6d and buyers at 335. There were buyers of Talismans at 27s and seller? at 27s 3d.
