In the course of time farmers will be much more familiar with their own localities than even they are at present. The soil maps which are being issued, showing the geological formation in counties, are extremely interesting, and a-s the geological formation must have a good deal to do with exact experiment or demonstration, the work now being taken iii hand is worthy of approval. The Spanish fowl has for many centuries been known in the Low Countries and the United Kingdom. It approximates a little to the modern type, being light in body, and has usually a flowing tail. There are also the long wattles ana the single comb.
