ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY
The society gives its third concert on September 24 at the Town Hall. The practices have be?n carried out under the conductorship of Mr. G. A. Paque, and a great deal of enthusiasm has been shown. The second number of Tschaikowski's " Pathetique Symphony " will be played, two overtures. " King Manfred" and " Fingal's Cave." " ifalterelio." by Gounod, and " TaJse Triste,'' by Sibelius, which was so well received on its first production last year, are among some of the orchestral numbers to be played. Miss Laura Walker and Mr J. Wallace Atkinson will sing.
