MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
CLAIM FOR RENT. A claim for £151 Is lOd for rent, was made by Hallonstein Bros. (Mr. G. Z. Clayton), against J. and A. J. Bell (Mr. R. A. Singer), in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. The defence was that defendant had been verbally released from liability under an agreement to take a fiveyear lease. Judgment for plaintiff for the full amount claimed and costs, was made bv Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M.
JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Orders for payment forthwith were made in the following judgment summons cases : —William J. Rainger v. F. Tonge, Ngaruawahia, £3 7s; H. H. Edwards and Company v. David Edwards, Te Kuiti, £125 10s; Harrison and Gash v. W. T. Barber, Ellerslie, £36 4s 3d.
