DECIDED IMPROVEMENT.

ANGLO-AMERICAN EXCHANGE,

CANADA'S CO-OPERATION-

London, August 14.

The feeling on the money market has greatly improved. General re lief is felt, especially by the discount houses, whose position has been rendered much more liquid. A special committee of financiers' in New York has recommended the scheme by which £20,000,000 in gold would be placed in the . Canadian Treasury in trust for the Bank of England.
