The British Press Bureau warns the public not to place the slightest reliance upon rumours current regarding alleged victories and defeats, the arrival of wounded men, or disabled ships. The public may be confident that news of successes or reverses to the. British arms will be communicated officially without delay.
The Government has started a War Prisoners' Information Bureau, under the Hague Convention.
M. Viviani, the Premier of France, has arranged to personally issue a daily bulletin of news for circulation among the troops, to enable them to judge the importance of their individual efforts in relation to the national struggle.

A number of French aviators have flown from Alsace to Berlin, where they have thrown down messages giving accurate accounts of the fighting.
