JAPAN READY FOR WAR.
DECLARATION IMMINENT (Received August 16, 5.5 p.m.)
London, August 15. A correspondent of the Times states that as a result of conferences between the Japanese Ambas-
sador and M. Sazanoff, Russian Foreign Minister, a declaration of war -by Japan is believed to be imminent.
A message from Tokio states that, in expectation of a declaration of war, Germans who are resident in Japan are gathering in Yokohama and Tokio preparatory to leaving Japan.
