SUM OF £1500 IN HAND.

ADDITIONAL DONATIONS.

Subscriptions are still coming in frrcly to the Hfn.u-n Patriotic Fund, both from the city and from country districts. The fund now totals £4500 16b lOd.

Tho headmaster of the Hclensville public school, Mr. A. J. Hill, in forwarding a cheque for £7 10s, comprised of subscriptions from the teachers and scholars, stated that ho hat] much pleasure in paying the amount into the Hurald fund as a first instalment. Contributions to the fund may be sent to the Htiui.D Office, Auckland, or paid ; direct at the Herald Office, where a subscription list will be found. The amounts collected will from time to time bo transferred to the Auckland Patriotic Fund.
