BUCKLER -PAGET COMPANY.

Br the Riverina, which reached Auckland yesterday, there arrived Hugh Buckler, Violet Paget, and their company from Sydney. During the coming week they will present a series of plays, mostly new to New Zealand, and all of exceptional distinction. Tonight, the opening of the season, will be inaugurated by the first production in New Zealand of Pinero's famous play " His House in Order."

OPERA HOUSE.

A very lino vaudevillo programme will be presented by the Fuller-Brennan management at the Opera House to-night. No left than 14 vaudeville acts are included. The • Muilaney Twins, from the Aladdin pantomime, will mako their first appearance in vaudeville in a brilliant dancing scena, Armstrong and Howarth, who aro immensely popular among vaudeville audiences, will mako their New Zealand toappearanco in several new laughable omedy acts; The Aerial Bartletts will present now feats in mid-air, and Sterling and Love will appear in the great English variety success, " Discord and Harmony." In addition, the Spanish Goldinis, Phil. Ptrcival, the English comedian, Phillips and Merrill, Andrews and Dent, and others will appear. ORGAN RECITAL. i Compositions Dy English, French, Russian, and Belgian composers figured in the programme of organ music played by Mr. Maughan Barnett at the usual weekly organ recital in the Town Hall on Saturday night. The national anthems of Great Britain, Prance, and Russia were played as the first item of the programme, these being followed by Calleart's" Triumphal March" and LemaVe's " .Madrigal and Berceuse." Two movements, the "Pastorale" and '"'Finale,' from Widor's "2nd Symphony," were greeted with much applause. Wolstenholme'a "Allegreto," an "Elegy." .by Maughan Barnett, and Wely's "Military March," were amongst the other items played. Tho programme was brought to a conclusion with a faniaeie on Gounod's "Faust," always a popular item. PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS. The attendance at all sessions at the Princess Theatre on Saturday was very large. An attractive picturo will take chief place in the long and varied proj gramme to be submitted to-day,for the first : lime. The picture is entitled " Tho Fight : lor the Great Black Diamond," and is full : of existing adventures. j The Empress Theatre was well attended on Saturday, and the long programme found favour with the large audiences. An entire change of programme will be I tnada to-night, and an excellent series ol pictures will be submitted. An excellent new series of films will he Presented to-night at the Alhambra theatre.
