London, August 12. Russians, to the number of 6000, who have been expelled from Germany, have arrived at Stockholm. They declare that thoy suffered barbarous treatment. Colonel Whitaker, defendant in tho recent canteen scandal case, who was sentenced to six months' hard labour, has volunteered for active service. He has been released. A modified censorship has been established over the telephone system of Great Britain, and those using foreign languages are immediately cut offOwing to an attempt being made to blow up the Canadian-Northern railway track, troops are guarding the railway bridges throughout Canada.
The strange vessel in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, which was thought to be a German cruiser, was a British man-o'-war.
