Tho committee engaged in organising tho Imperial Light Horse reports that 600 men have been recruited in the space of 46 hours. The majority are West End clubmen or retired officers. Many are/ offering to provide their own horses and equipments. The Prince of Wales's War Fund has reached a total of £750,000. The Lord Mayor's Fund now totals £14,872. Bombay native magnates have given £7000 towards a field hospital. A message from Capetown states that the Union Government has undertaken . the defence of South Africa.
