NEUTRAL MINOR POWERS.

SWEDEN' PACIFIC,

PREPARATIONS FOR DEFENCE

NO HELP FROM ROUMANIA.

Paris, August 12.

The Swedish Parliament has unanimously adopted a credit of 50,000,000 kronor (£2,500,000) in order to defend her neutrality.

M. Pichon, ex-Foreign Minister, in an article in tho Petit Journal, declares that Gormany's negotiations with Italy, Turkey, Roumania and Bulgaria are a new sign of the confusion of herself and her ally Austria.

The Roumanian Legation denies that Roumania intends to join Germany or that the country has announced her neutrality.

Roumania has taken measures to guard her frontiers and to uphold the Treaty of Bucharest.
