Adelaide, August 13, Tin; death is announced of ex-Senator Gregor McGregor, who was a prominent labour leader in South Australia,
Mr. Gregor McGregor, who was born at hiimun, .Scotland, in 1848, arrived in South Australia in 1876. Ho became a, member of the United Builders Labourers' Society, a.nd was president of the Trades and Labour Council and of the United Political Labour Party of South Australia on several occasions. From 1894 to 1901 ho was member of the Legislative Council of South Australia for the Central District He was returned to the Senate in the first Commonwealth Parliament, 1901, and was re-elected in 1903. On the assembling of the first Federal Parliament he was elected leader of the Labour Party in the Serial*
