BRITISH CRUISER IN ACTION WITH A GERMAN.
ENCOUNTER NORTH OF SAN SALVADOR. ENEMY'S WARSHIP SEEKS SAFETY IN FLIGHT. (Eecoived August 13, 1.30 am.) New York, August 12. Captain Terjeson, of the Norwegian steamer Lovland, reports ' that a:a action has been fought between a German and a British cruiser 250 miles north of San Salvador. ."•;■' The German cruiser fled under the British warship's fire. The extent of the damage done is unknown.
