The captain of a Greek stoamcr reports that he met the German cruiser Goeben approaching the Dardanelles on Monday. The official Press Bureau states that there is good reason for believing that the Goeben and the Breslau have taken refuge in the Dardanelles. If this is so, they will be dealt with according to international usage. CANADIAN POUTS CLOSED. SUSPICIOUS VISITOR. Montreal, August 11. Owing to the appearance of a strange vessel in the river, the ports on the St. Lawrence have been closed. The movements of the vessel are being investigated by the Militia Department. It is thought likely that she will prove to be the German cruiser recently sighted off Newfoundland. On August 4 it was reported from New York that a German cruiser had boen seen grappling for the trans-Atlantic cables off 'Newfoundland. '
