CONDITIONS IMPROVING. BANKS PAYING OUT GOLD. London, August 11. The Bank of England received a further sum of £250,000 in gold today, making the total receipts £9,000,000 since August 5. The conditions of trade are improving, and the banks are steadily paving out 0 1 ( The output from the Transvaal for July was £3,111,398, the largest monthly return since June, 1913.
