Chimstohtoch, Tuesday. Tim Canterbury Jockey Club's Grand National Mooting opened to-day in good weather. The course was in capital order, and there was a good attendance, the crowd appearing to bo nearly as largo as usual. The totalisator receipts amounted to £38,517. against £43.098 last year. Results:—

Tim Doolon had too much pace, however and won easily by four lengths from Bercola. who beat The Spaniard in the run home by six lengths. Glenmoro was two lengths away fourth, followed by Kauroa, The Chief, True Blue, and Captain Jack. Time, 7m 11 3-Ss.
