CLOTHING FOR TROOPS.

BUSY TIME FOR LADIES.

Many ladies in Auckland are now engaged in making articles of various kinds for the Now Zealand troops. Tho Mayoress has received many offers of help in this direction from country districts, and she desires it to be known that the only articles of service at present are Balaclava caps, mufflers and socks. Grey flannel shirts would also be gratefully received by tho Auckland Ladies' Committee. Tho shirts must bo made largo and plain, with long sleeves, buttoned cuffs, and bands round the neck instead of collars. A large pocket should also bo provided. The Mayoress can supply paper patterns, if wanted. All articles should be addressed to tho Mayoress, Ambulance Station, Rutland Street. , As schoolchildren are anxious to do something to help equip the troopa, the Mayoress suggests that they could best do so by caving tho ponnies and halfpennies usually spent on sweets, and handing the money so saved to tho teachers each week.
