RISKS TO SHIPPING.
WIRELESS STATIONS CLOSED
VATERLAND CONVERTED.
AMERICAN WATCHFULNESS.

Washington, August 9.
The authorities arc closing the wireless stations at Sayville and Tuckerton. They have been advising cruisers of tho whereabouts of British liners.
A New York message states that the Vaterland has been fitted up as a cruiser to prey on British shipping. An American torpedo flotilla and the battleship Florida are watching to prevent violations of American neutrality.
The Government declares it will prohibit foreign merchant ships, which have been converted for war purposes or are carrying reservists, from clearing from American ports.
