The grounds were wet, but the ! two matches plated were well contested i Whangarei defeated Paeroa-, holders, by 3 ! Koala to 0. and Auckland was successful j against Thames by & similar margin. ! AUCKLAND v. THAMES. I 1 The city team had the better of play i throughout the first spell and scored three | goals, Miss Bedlington taking the shots. ! During the tccond half Thames put up a I solid dcfencc. aud prevented further scores, | tho game ending: j Auckland 3 j Thames 0 j Mr. S. Smith was referee. j WHANGAREI v. PAEROA. Paeroa, led on the play at tho completion of tho firs; half, but Med to score. Dur'ng the second spell the Whansaret team played well, and tho forwards attacked consistently, Miss S'oane scoring twice and Miss Crane once. The game ended:— ] Whangarei ... 3 ! Paoroa. 0 Mr. Norton was referee. | ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-DAY. The second round of matches will bo played at Remuera this afternoon, commencing at three o'clock. Tho draw is as follows:— Auckland v.
