UNITY IN RUSSIA.
POLES TO BE REWARDED.
St. Petersburg, August 9.
A wave of patriotism is sweeping over Russia. The families of the reservists are being told to retain their homes without paying any rent.
Societies are being formed to distribute food to those in need. The Tsar's daughters are personally supervising the work of relief.
In connection with the outrage at the German Embassy, large quantities of firearms and seditious proclamations were discovered, suggesting that the Embassy had been utilised as a centre for revolutionary propaganda. ,
The Duma meets to-day and among the Bills to be introduced will be one granting Poland municipal selfgovernment and the use of the Polish language in recognition of the splendid behaviour of the Poles since the outbreak of the war.
