Sydney, August 10. A fire gutted the Northcote .Chambers, Reiby Lane, Sydney, last night, the damago being estimated at £10,000.

Dunkdin, Monday. A hoy named Thomas Fraser, 14 years of ago, fell off the platform of a railway carriage near Dunedin station and broke his neck.
