WELLINGTON FRUIT MARKET. [by telegraph.— correspondent.] Wellington, Monday. Although only a small quantity of apples is reaching the market, the demand is quiet owing to the present unrest, Prices: Apples, choice local, dessort, 7s per half-case; cookers choice, 5s to 7s per case; prime, 4s 6d to 5s per case. Pears : Choice dessert i 6s to 6s 6d per half-case; prime, JSs to 5s 6d; stewing, choice, 6s to 6s 6d per case. Lemons: Choice, 7s to 8s per case. Passion fruit: 5s to 6s per box. The potato market is firmer at 4s to 4s 3d per cwt; onions, local, 5s 6d to 6s 6d per cwt; cauliflowers, 14s to 16s per sack; cabbages, choice, 6s to 8s per sack; lettuce, 4s to 5s per case; marrows, 4s to 5s per sack; pumpkins, 5s to 6s per sack; now potatoes, choice, large, 2£d to 3d per lb; small, ljd per lb. Kggs, fresh, fair demand at Is sd; preserved, Is 2d.
