The dairy floor must have a sufficient fall in order that, after being washed, tho water will easily drain away. A drain which is trapped just outside the dairy should tako all the drainage some distance from it. Dairy sewage contains various elements to which the putrefactive species of bacteria are vorv partial. In the production of milk the aim should bo to keep tho bacterial content of it as low as possible, and this is only effected by obtaining the milk under clean conditions from healthy cows. Tho freshlydrawn milk must bo filtered to clean it from thp small portion of extraneous matter which is inevitably present, bat this will not remove germs from the milk.
