The Union Company's turret-deck steamer AoromiKo loft Westport yesterday aitcrnoon tor Auckland with a full cargo of coal. She should arrive here on Sunday morning. The Mokoia arrived at Wellington at 1 a.m. yesterday from Sydney. The vessel will not now enter the East Coast-Auckland service, as was previously arranged, but will proceed as usual to Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne.

The schooners Awanul and Elsie Mary are now fully due at Auckland from Giaborne. ■Both vessels are- bringing cargoes of produce.

„ The Tarawera arrived from Southern and bast Coast ports at noon yesterday, and berthed at the Queen's 'Wharf. She brought the fol owing cargo:— 2213 sacks potatoes, 802 sacks oats, 36 sacks peas, 496 sacks onions, 635 bags flour, 694 sacks wheat, and quantity of general merchandise. The Tarawera sails on the return voyage at noon tomorrow.

Ihe auxiliary schooner Greyhound left Onehunga on Wednesday afternoon for Hokianga to load timber for Auckland.

■ The departure of the Claymore from Onehunga for Hokianga has been postponed until 2 p.m. to-day. .. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruahino left Teneriffe on the afternoon of July 11 for London, in continuation of her voyage from Wellington. Tho vessel left the Southern port on Juno 4, and was crae at the Home port yosterday. The Rosamond left Gisbome at 10 p.m. on Wednesday for Auckland, via Whangaroi. She is due here to-morrow, and will sail on Monday afternoon for Tolago Bay and Gisbome, .The Kurow arrived at Suva at 11 p.m. on Monday last from Auckland. She is to leave Fiji on July 19 for Auckland with a full cargo of raw sugar for the Chelsea works. The Wairuna is to sail this afternoon for Aaipara, where she loads a cargo of timber for Sydney. The Huddart-Parkcr sleamor Victoria, an route from Southern ports, left Wellington last evening for way ports and Auckland, ine vessel is duo hero on Sunday morning. The Molanesian Mission steamer Southern Jjross , steamed down to her moorings off uampbell's Point yesterday afternoon, where she will ho up until about tho middle of September. The Olaki, which is at present loading Homeward cargo at Waitara, will afterwards visit Timaru and the Bluff to complete. She leaves the latter port finally on July 30 for London. The Kaituua is to leave Wellington on Monday evening for Picton to load chaff for Onehunga. On Saturday evening last, during the run from Wellington to Lyttelton, tho ferry steamer Maori demonstrated the power of her wireless equipment by establishing communication with the Union Company's R.M.S., Willochra. off Tahiti, a distance of approximately 2000 miles. The Federal-Shire liner Roscommon is expected to leave London on July 29 for Queensland porta only. She will be followed by the Westmeath on September 1. The Federal-Shiro Line's steamer Banffshire loft Norfolk, Virginia, for Capetown, on Juno 10, for orders. She will proceed thence to Australian ports to load for Boston and New York. Anticipations are that tho vessel will fill up at New Zealand ports. Apropos of the rumour that the Mcll-wraith-McEacham liner Katoomba would shortly replace the Company's Moana in the 'Frisco service, Mr. Kelso, of tho former company, giveß the story an emphatic denial. The Union Company's officials havo also denied the report. The Government steamer Hinemoa arrived at the Bluff on Tuesday. She was unable to land at the lighthouses at Dog Island and waipapapa Point owing to bad weather. |. , , BARQUE RONA REPORTED. A message received from the lightkeeper at Cape Brett states that the locally-owned barque Bona, nine days out from Newcastle to Auckland, passed the . cape, at 7.30 a.m. yesterday. The vessel, which is making a very creditable passage, is bringing a lull cargo of coal for Mossrs. Winstone. Ltd. She should reach port to-day. THE KARORTB TOW. . Tho Union Company's collier Karori Is expected .o arrive at Auckland to-night or tomorrow morning from Newcastle, with tie tug Bulli in tow, Tho Karori is bringing i full cargo of coal for this port. The Bulli. which was recently purchased by the Colonial Sugar Company for use as a, tug in Auckland Harbour, is a wooden vessel of 40 tens gross. THE BARQUENTINE SENORITA. On the arrival of the Manaia from Whangarei last evening the officers reported having sighted the barquentine Senorita, 10 days out on the passage from Newcastle to Auckland becalmed outside the Little Barrier Island at sunset. The vessel is bringing a cargo of coal, _ and should reach the harbour this morning. , THE-SYDNEY STEAMER. The local office of the Huddart-Parker Company advises that the .steamer Riverina was despatched from Sydney at 3 p.m. on Wednesday for Auckland direct. The vessel m bringing 82 first, 22 second, and 21 thirdclass passengers, and 1050 tens of cargo for New Zea.and. She is due here about noon on Sunday, and is limed to sail on the return voyage at 5.30 p.m. on Monday. THE KENT. The Federal-Shire liner Kent sailed yesterday afternoon for Wellington, where she will complete hsr loading for Boston and New York. The vessel shipped the following cargo at Auckland.— packages of kauri gum, 1000 quarters of beef, 42 carcases Of veal. 10 bales of wool, 149 bales of flax, 260 sacks of hides, and a quantity of sundries. The Kent is expected to leave Wellington about Tuesday next for the two American ports. '

FIONA SAILS. The Colonial Sugar Refining Company's steamer Fiona, which had been .at anchor in the stream for three days waiting for the arrival of the collier Kamona from Weatport to take in 2000 tons of coal, sailed early yesterday morning for Suva, it having been decided not' to keep the vessel here any longer. She has over 8000 tons of Newcastle coal on board, and on completion of discharge of this cargo at Suva and Lautoka, the Fiona will load & full cargo of .raw sugar and molasses in the Fiji Group for the Chelsea works. She is expected to arrive back at Auckland about the middle of August. After discharge here the Fiona will proceed to Sydney.

THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL. The Union Company's R.M.S. Willochra arrived at Wellington. at 2 p.m. yesterday from San Francisco, via Papeete and. Rare tonga. The liner brought 65 passengers for New Zealand and Australia, while her cargo for the Dominion amounts to 1350 tons, including 846, tons of fruit. # The Willochra leaves Wellington this evening for Sydney, where she is due on Tuesday next. The R.M.S. Moana arrived at Wellington at 2 a.m. yesterday from Sydney.' _ She .is timed to leave the Southern port this evening for San Francisco,, via Rarotonga and Papeete. The Moana is due at the Californian port on August 6.

HARDWOOD PROM WEST AUSTRALIA. The Norwegian four-masted barauentine Oberon, 1045 tons, Captain Noding, arrived' at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Busselton, West Australia, after a somewhat lengthy passage of 43 days. The,vessel brought f> full cargo of hardwood consigned to the Kauri Timber Company, Ltd., about 342,000 ft of which will be discharged at this port, and the balance (265,444 ft) at Whanearei. .The vessel was sighted in the gulf early yesterday morning, and was then taken in tow by the Harbour Board's lug Te Awhina. the harbour being reached at 2 p.m. .The Oberon was berthed at No. 2 Jetty to discharge. Captain Nodinff reports having sailed from the West Australian port on June 2, light winds and cj.lms being met with until after clearing Bass Straits, thenco & succession of strong north-westerly gales until sighting the Three ; Kings on Tuesday afternoon followed by j moderate winds to arrival. On completion of discharge at Whangarei, the Oberon will Srooeed to Maiden Island to load guano for few Zealand. KAMONA DIVERTED. The Union Company's collier Kamona, which was bound from Wostport to Auckland with a full cargo of coal, was signalled from Capo Egmont on Wednesday evening to proceed to Wellington, where she arrived yesterday morning. Part of the Kamona'g cargo was to have been shipped by the Fiona for Fiji, but the latter vessel sailed yesterday morning. APARIMA AT CALCUTTA. A cablegram received by the Union Company states that tho training-steamer Aparlmn, arrived at Calcutta on Friday, July 10, from New Zealand, via Newcastle and Singapore. The vessel is now loading Eastern merchandise for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and is expected to sail towards the end of this month, via Bingaporo and Samarang. She should arrive hero early in September.

THE PRODUCE STEAMERS. The Wanaka loft Timaru at 10 p.m. on Tuesday for Napior and Auckland with a f ull cargo of produce. She is expected .to leavo Napier this morning, and should arrive here to-morrow afternoon. The Wanaka sails early next week for Oamaru, the Bluff, and Timaru to load again for Napior and Auckland. . , . The Union Company advises that the Foherua has been fixed to load a cargo pt produce at Timaru early next week for Auckland.

FRANKLIN FROM NEW YORK. The steamer Franklyn, under, charter to the American and Australian Line, arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from New York and Australian ports, and was berthed at the King's Wharf to discharge 1200 tons of general merchandise. The vessel left the American port on April 88. and after due charging at Melbourne and Sydney, left the latter Port at daylight on Saturday last. The voyage throughout was uneventful, the usual gales being experienced coming through the Southern Ocean! ■ The Franklyn sails to-morrow afternoon for. Wellington, Lyttelton. and Dunedin to discharge the balanw of her cargo. ______
