THAMES DEEP LEVELS.

QUESTION OP VENTILATION.

[BT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]

Tiumes, Saturday. Nothing further lias yet been done- with regard to the cleaning tip of the 1000 ft level. A decision will be come to shortly by the. Advisory Board as to the most efficient' means of- ventilating the 1000 ft level, so as to draw off the large quantity of gas which is still issuing from the face of the crosscut, where the main slide bursts through. It will probably be some weeks before work on the face of the crosscut, or in the May Queen section, can bo resumed at that level, as after the ventilation is secured there will still be a considerable amount of cleaning up and repairing to do.
