Per Manuka, from Sydney: 500 tons general merchandise, including 610 sacks flour. 292 bags rice, 320 cases 'sugar, 244 sacks pol lard, 225 cases soap, 185 bags bark, 08 cases spirits, 51 cases drugs, 264 bags bonedust, and quantity sundries and transhipments. The barque Joseph Craig wag towed out to sea by the tug Te Awhina on Saturday morning, bound for Hokianga, where she will complete her loading of sawn timber for Melbourne. The vessel loaded about 150,000 ft of timber at this port. The Wairuna arrived from Westport at 1 6m. on Saturday, and was berthed at the obson Wharf to dischargo her cargo of coal. The vessel's future movements have not yet been announced.

The Tarawera ia timed to leave Wellington this evening for way ports and Auckland. She is duo licre on Thursday morning. The Richardson steamer Squall left-Toko-maru Bay at 1 p.m. on Saturday for Auckland, via East Coast bays. Sho is. due here this evening, and will load for way ports and Gisborno, sailing on Wednesday evening. The coastal steamer Arapawa will go on the Wellington patent slip this week for '" sighting in connection with the purchase of tho vessel by the Northern Steamship Company. Captain Hammond, assistantmanager of the company, and Mr. G. Gow, superintending engineer, left for Wellington by last night's express to inspect the Ara pawa.

Repairs to the Rotomahana having been completed, the vessel will resume her run ping in tho Coromandel service to-day, sailing for tho coastal port at 7.15 a.m. > The Northvrn Company's steamer Rarawa arrived at Onohunga on Saturday morning from New Plymouth, and sailed again for (hat port yesterday with the members of J. C. Williamson's pantomime company. . The Rarawa will leave New Plymouth to-morrow evening on the return trip, arriving at Onehunga as usual on Wednesday morning. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner lon'c is timed to leave Wellington on Thursday afternoon for London, via ports. Judging by resent indications, the Union Company anticipates that the disabled steamer Kauri will 00 repaired sufficiently to be able to leave Westport in a week for Port Chalmers, where permanent repairs will be effected.

Tho Arawa, of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line, is expected to arrive at Wellington tomorrow morning for London, via Plymouth, Tcneriffo. Capetown, and Hobart. On Tuesday evening last the Shaw. Savill. and Albion liner; Tainui left Monte Video for London, iii continuation of her voyage from Wellington. The vessel left tho Southern port on June 18, _ Mr. R. Wood, purser of the Monowai. has joined the Arahura in a similar capacity. The • Union Company's steamer, Kanna, which has been engaged in the cargo trade between Australia and Tasmania, is at pre sent on her way from Newcastle to Welling ton with a full cargo of coal for the Southern port. H.M.S. Torch was coaled from tho Union Company's steamer Rakanoa at Suva on June 22. and left for the New Hebrides.

The Anchor Line's steamer Regulus arrived at Onehimga yesterday afternoon from Greymouth and New Plymouth. Sho has about 300 tons of coal to lard, after which she loads general cargo-for Wellington, Nelson, "and West C?ast ports. Messrs. The Union Company's steamer Warrimoo, which sailed on Saturday afternoon for. East Coast and Southern ports, has made her last. visit to this port for the present. On arrival at.Dunedin on Thursday, she will withdraw from the service, and will then enter the Sydney-Cook Strait-Melbourne service, leaving Dunedin on Sunday, July 19. for Bluff. Hobart, and Melbourne, m place of the Mo koia. THE JOAN CRAIG. At 5 a.m. on Saturday the steamer Joan Craig arrived from Newcastle and Port Stephens, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf to discharge a number of hardwood piles for the harbour works. The vessel left Port Stephens •on the evening of July 3, and arrived _in the gulf on Friday aftornoou, but owing to the thick fog was unable to : make the port, and she was accordingly anchored until the early hours on Saturday morning. She sailed on Saturday evening for Gisborne, for which port she has a cargo of coal. The Joan Craig will subsequently load timber at several Northern ports for Sydney. STAR OF ENGLAND DUE TO-DAY. An expected arrival at Auckland this after noon is the new cargo steamer Star of England, of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line. The vessel, which is making, her first appearance in New Zealand waters, is similar to the "Star of India and other steamers of the lino which have already visited the port. The Star of England has about 2JXX) tons of general merchandise to land. MOKOIA'S MOVEMENTS. The Union Company's steamer Mokoia left Sydney on Saturday afternoon for Wellington, where she is due on Wednesday. The vessel will afterwards proceed to Lyttelton and Dunedin. and on arrival at the latter port will withdraw from tho inter-colonial service. The Mokoia will leave Dunedin on Friday afternoon, July 17, for Lyttelton. Wellington. Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland, in place of the Warrimoo,. arriving here on Thursday, July 28, and sailing on the return trip two days later. The Mokoia will be retained in the Auckland-East Coast-Dunedin passenger service until further notice. MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. Shortly after 1 p.m. yesterday the Union Company's steamer Manuka. Captain C. Clift,. arrived at Auckland from Sydney direct, after a passage of three days 22 hours.The vessel was berthed at the Queen's Wharf, where the customary medical inspection was carried out and pratique granted shortly after 2 p.m. The purser reports that tho Manuka cleared the Margaret Street Wharf at 1 p.m. on Wednesday last, and experienced strong westerly winds and moderate seas throughout the passage. She brought 132 saloon and steerage passengers, and 600 tons of cargo, the latter including transhipments from the steamers Wyandra, Kumano Mam, Otway. Ventura. Zictcn. Wesuba. Empire, Southport, and Ballarat. The Manuka sails at 8.30 p.m. to-day again for Sydney, and on arrival at the New South Wales port on Friday will withdraw from the service. Sho will leovo Sydney on Saturday afternuon, July 18, for Wellington, to take up her running in the Sydney-Cook Strait-Melbourne service.

WIRELESS FROM THE KENT. A wireless message received last night from the captain of the Federal-Shire liner Kent stated that the vessel will arrive at Auckland to-morrow night or early on Wednesday morning from Sydney. The Kent will do the first steamer to load frozen meat and general cargo at this port for Boston and New York. After lifting what cargo is offering, the vessel will proceed to Wellington to complete her loading, sailing from that port finally early next week. FIONA FROM NEWCASTLE. The Colonial Sugar Company's steamer Fiona, Captain Barnes, arrived at Auckland shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday from' Newcastle, not Fiji, as was previously reported. She was berthed at the King's Wharf to discharge 400 cases of acids. The Fiona left Newcastle at 430 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, and encountered some very heavy weather jn the Tasman Sea, while she was also considerably delayed by heavy fogs off the Three Kings and approaching the Hauraki Gulf. The steamer has over 3000 tons of coal on board for the company's womb at Fiji, and she will probably go to an anchorage in the stream io-day to take in additional coal and a quantity of bran. The Fiona will sail on Wednesday for Lautoka, and after discharging will load a full cargo of raw sugar, probably for Auckland, ' SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. The R.M.S. Willochra, which left San Francisco on Wednesday, June 24, for Weilington and Sydney, via way ports, is due It Wellington on Thursday morning.
