NEW ZEALANDERS AT HOME

[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] London, Juno 5. Miss E. M. Ernest (Auckland) is staying in Wales for a few weeks.

The Hon. J. R. Sinclair, the New Zealand representative on the Dominion's ■Royal Commission, is still engaged on the work of the commission, and is unable to leavo town.

Air. V. C. Richards (Auckland) will be leaving London for New York and San Francisco shortly on tho completion of six weeks' stay. lie is on a business mission to this country and America. Mr. G. Towlds, with Mies Fowlds, have been the guests for a few days of Mr. and Mis. 1. C. Taylor, of bunnybank, Batley, who spent a holiday in New Zealand a few years ago. They havo now gone on to Scotland. Mrs. H. Feldwick (Invercargill) and her daughters, who wore travelling in Egypt, Tunis, and Northern Africa, from December till April, have returned to London, and have taken a flat at Campden Hill Court, Kensington, for the season. Professor F. D. Brown (Auckland), who has spent a good deal of timo at Bournemouth since tho beginning of February, has taken a flat at Hurlingham Court, on tho banks of tho Thames, where most of his time will bo spent until tho autumn.

Mr. W. Kenneth Eady (Auckland) left for the Continent last November for six months' course of study, which took him to Holland, Germany, and France. Four months were spent in Berlin. At tho conclusion of another two months here he will sail for America on the first stage of his return journey to New Zealand, which he left over two years ago. Ho expects to arrivo there in Docember. Tho New Zealand delegates to tho Salvation Army Congress, about 40 in number, are sight-seeing in London prior to tho opening of tho meeting, which is to bo attended by about 2COO delegates from abroad. Tho visitors are anticipating with pleasure a visit to Cardiff, Liverpool, and, possibly, to Scotland, in connection with provincial tours arranged for tho visiting delegates. Adjutant Cook is staying with his sister in London, and Captain Bower is with him.

Among those who havo recently made a call at tho New Zealand Government Office were tho following Aucklanders '.— Mr. W. E. Wright, Mr. W. Kenneth Eady, Miss 0. W. Pirchaa, Mr. W. V. Scrymgeour, Mr, H. G. Cousins, Dr. John Ward, Professor F. D. Brown, Mr. J. Horsburgh, Miss J. D. Lover, Mr. and Mre. T. W. Leys, and Miss M. Leys, Mr Donald A. Sutherland, Miss Edna J. McD. Sutherland, Mrs. J. Blakeley, Miss E. Blakeley.

Mr, and Mrs. T. W. Leys, Miss Mabel Leys, and Miss J. D. Lever (Auckland) arrived in London on Thursday evening from Paris. Their journey from Now Zealand was prolonged by tours in Palestine and Egypt, and visits were paid to various Italian cities, tho Italian and Swiss lakes, tho Austrian Tyrol, Vienna, Southern Germany, the Rhino, and Belgium, concluding with a fortnight's stay in Paris. Since reaching London Mr. and Mrs. Leys havo chiefly spent their time in the book-shops selecting books for the library at Ponsonby.
