[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Huntly, Saturday. THE poll on the proposal by the Town Board to borrow £6000 for tho purpose of installing an electric lighting plant was taken to-day, whon 148 out of a total of 312 voters exercised their privileges. The proposal was carried by a majority of 130.' The figures, as furnished by the returning officer, Mr. F. Harris, were:— the proposal, 139; against the proposal, 9.
