DEATH IN DOCTOR'S ROOMS
THE MYSTERY DEEPENED.
DISCREDITED EXPLANATION.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.
New York, July 8. The mystery of the murder of a woman in the rooms of Dr. Carmen, a fashionable physician, has been deepened by the discovery in Dr. Carmen's attic of an unopened box of cartridges similar to those used in the murder. Dr. Carmen reports that while returning from a professional call a man fired at him, but he managed to escape by increasing the speed of his motor.
A man and a woman corroborate this, but the police discredit the story.
