LARRIKINS IN DOMAIN.
PROSECUTIONS AUTHORISED.
Laemkinism in the Domain wag tho subject of a report to the City Council last night by the city engineer, Mr. W. E. Bush. He stated that last Sunday afternoon tho Domain ranger and a park employee discovered soveral boys making a fire in one of the walks. The name and address of tho youth who appeared to be the chief offender was secured, but he would not divulgo the names of his companions. A number of youths wore also detected running across tho Exhibition lawns and flower beds. When remonstrated with theso lads were very impertinent, but the names of four of the older ones were obtained.
"Extreme difficulty is being experienced with Sunday visitors to the Exhibition grounds," proceeded tho engineer, " and the available staff being quite unable to cope with the trouble, I communicated with tho superintendent "f Eolice, and asked that assistance shonld e granted at this place on Sunday afternoons, until the' trouble is disposed of. This the superintendent has agreed to da" Mr. Bush asked for instructions as to whether the youths referred to were to ba prosecuted. Authority to prosecute was given.
