BOARDING MOVING TRAIN.
At tho Police Court yesterday, a lad, 15 years of age, admitted getting on a railway carriage while it was in motion, on June 2. It was stated by bub-Inspector Johnston that the boy had a very narrow escape. Ho had caught hold of the handrail and lost his footing, while the train was moving at the rate of about 10 miles an hour. After being dragged along some distance the predicament of the lad was, fortunately, noticed by the guard, end tho train was pulled up. ino magistrate remarked that the defendant received a sufficient fright to teach him a lesson. Defendant was convicted and ordered to pay 7s costs.
