TERMS OP AN AGREEMENT.

A. CLAIM arising out of the hire of six pieces of furniture came before' Mr. C. 0. Kettle, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court vesterday, when Aaron and Henry Emanuel, trading as the Weal Furnishing and Drapery Company (Mr. Wyatt) claimed £8 16s from Mre. Sarah Jamieson {Mr. A. E. Skelton) for arrears in payEvidence was given by Henry Emanuel to the effect that Mrs. Jamieson hired the furniture in August last, the agreement being that she should pay 5s weekly. In reply to Mr. Skelton, witness Mid that he had not received any communication from Mrs. Jamieson in November stating that, owing to the effect the strike bad on her business of boardinghousekeeper, she would not be able to pay him anything further, and asking him to take the furniture back. furniture in the first place, the agreement had been that she should pay whatever she could from time to time.
