MISSING MAIL BAGS.
ONE RECOVERED INTACT.
TLAOED BESIDE POST OFFICE. [bt telegraph— correspondent.] TATJKABcmn, Monday. One of the mail bags stolen over a week ago from a train between Taumarunui and Ohakune was found intact in a email recess between the post office at Tau-marunui-and the courthouse. There can be no doubt that those concerned in the robbery placed it there, for the bag was placed on the train by postal official*!, and the niche in which it was found is exposed to the full view of the postal staff when going to the office.
The police are prosecuting diligent inquiries in Ohakune and elsewhere, but (i) far no information has been ascertained.
No trace lias been found of the other three bags which were stolen about the same timo from trains on the same section of the line.
