ACTION BY NORWAY.
FORMAL INQUIRY PENDING.
London, June 26.
The Norwegian Government inquiry into the collision between tho Empress of Ireland and tho Storstad, which is being held because the Storstad is Norwegian owned, will bo started on Saturday.
The captain and crew will appear before the inquiry, which will bo held in private.
.It is stated that it will be an ordinary inquiry, without judgment or the forming of opinions regarding the guilty parties in tho disaster.
Mr. William Johannesen (Acting-Consul-General for Norway in Canada) is in charge of the inquiry.
