LINKING UP A COUNTY.
[BT TELEGRAPH.— press ASSOCIATION.] POS'OAROA, Sunday. Tee traffic bridge at the mouth of the Akitio River was opened on Saturday by Mr. J. H. Esoott, M.P., in tho presence of a largo number of settlers. Mrs. Armstrong, senr., cut the ribbon "with a pair of gold scissors, presented by the contractor, 'Mr. R. McKenzie. Tho opening of the bridge provides a means of linking up th« Akitio County, and the ceremony was one of tho most important in the history of the East Coast district.
