An interesting experiment in the crossing of cattle is reported from Ontario, jn Canada. Soma years ago a Mr. E. M. Boyd, of that province, began a series of experiments on the crossing of a Hereford and other breeds with the female buffalo and tho bison. Of these crosses that with I the Hereford has turned out most satis- ! factory, and Hereford breeders in Engj land are hoping for an increased export ' trade to Canada and ihe United States. When mixing arsenic for rabbit poisoning, 501b of any grain of good quality u put with 21b of arsenic, 41b of brown sugar, and 1$ gallon of water. Put tho grain into a tub or boiler. Boil tho water in a bucket, and dissolve sugar in same. Pour tho mixture over the grain in the boiler and mix, using a shovel for the purpose; then sift the arsenic on with a dredger or by such 1 means as will thoroughly disseminata the arsenic through the mass; keep stirring with the shovel until (.ho whole is thoroughly mixed. If yon get a chill with sore throat and tightness of chest, tackle it at once wila "NAZOL." It grips'it quicker and more effectually than most remedies.
