PROPOSED WHOLESALE SOCIETY.

[BTf TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CiißiSTCffuncif, Saturday. The following is the official report of the concluding sittings of the conference of delegates representing farmers' cooperative associations and farmers' unions:—

At 2.30 p.m. yesterday tho conference resumed. The report made by tho committcc of managers appointed to draw up a preliminary federation scheme was brought down by Mr. Newman, and spoken to by various managers present. After lengthy discussion, Mr. Todd moved and Mr. Talbot, jun., seconded: " That Messrs. Ralph Newman and Leigh Hunt be appointed u sub-cymtnitte? and requested to draw up a prospectus of. the proposed wholesale society, and also prepare a memorandum and articles of association for submission to various associations, and sub-1 sequently to the conference of interested institutions." This was carried unanimously.

On the motion of Mr. Todd, seconded by Mr. W. H. Hume, it was unanimously resolved, " That the deliberations of (.bo subcommittee be communicated to the representative.? of co-operative associations present at the conference and to those who have boon invited to attend.''

Mr. Hill, representative of the Bristol and Dominions Producers' Associate m. Limited, briefly addressed the conference as to the nature and sropo of his association's operations. The question of capitalisation 01 bonuses was discussed at length, t,he matter having been broiijjht'down in the managers' report, ft was unanimously resolved, on the motion of the Hon. Mr. Angtey, seconded by Mr. Chamberlain, "That this conference expresses its approval of principle of voluntary capitalisation of the whole, or part, of bonuses by various eo-opeiativo associations."
