[BT TKLECRAPH.—-ritKSS ASSOCIATION-.] Christc it, Thursday. A man" named James Bartlev was charged at the Police Court to-day with assaulting P. Metz, » pawnbroker, wall intent to commit a crime. Metz was unable to appear on acepunt of bis injui «s and a remand for eight days wis grmted.
The charge is the outcome of an assault, made upon Metz by a customer who visited the shop ostensibly to purchase jewellery.
