A Maori hui, or celebration, i< being held at the Maori settlement at Matakarapa, in the Manawatm Some 500 natives from all parts of the Eionuiion are assembled, the abject being to comniemorato the erection of the famous Maori meetinghouse, or wharenmanga, which was built 50 years ago by the chieftain brothers, Ihnkara and Kcreopa.
