SCARCITY OF DOCTORS.
HOSPITAL BOARD'S PLIGHT.

Timaru, Tuesday. Unmarried and unsettled doctors appear to, bo scarce, judging by the experience of the Timaru Hospital Board. Its endeavours to find a resident surgeon have all failed, and to-day it decided to ask the late occupant of the position, who resigned, to return for another year. The honorary medical staff offered to carry on the work at the hospital, if necessary.
