"THE CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR."
Sir,—lt would bo interesting to know whether those persons who, under cover of the absurd exemption from military service granted to conscientious objectors, are so anxious to evade their bounden duty in the defence of the country would, in the event of t-hcir domiciles being attacked by burglars, expect their neighbours to repel the intruder. It must bo patent to them that national defence.is merely, the combined protection of a grand aggregation of individual interest 111 life and property in a country. It would only be fair to the normal Britisher if a list of these non-combatants, giving particulars of nationalities of parents, etc., were published' from time to time. • Anti-Humbug.
