KINDERGARTEN FETE.
In aid of tho work undertaken in the educational interests of infant children by the St. James's Free Kindergarten, a sucessful garden fete was held on Saturday at the residence of Mrs. A. St. Clair Brown, in Ranfurly Road, Epsom. The weather being fine, there was a good attendance of the public, who made liberal purchases from the work, produce, and other stalls arranged in the grounds. Among those present during the afternoon was the Countess of Liverpool, who was presented with a bouquet by Miss Marjory Innes. The grounds were gay with bunting. Among the attractions of the fete wore motor "rides, a rifle range, putting, fortune-telling, land music, and an exhibition of dancing by Miss D. Shrewsbury. Tea was served during the afternoon. The secretarial arrangements were carried out by Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane.
