ASHBURTON SHOW

[by telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION'.] Ashbtjrton, Thursday. The Asbburton Agricultural and Pastoral Association's second autumn show, which is also its 30th annual exhibition, was concluded to-day under most favourable .circumstances. The gate takings established a new record, and 800 people must have visited the show this afternoon. The entries, which also constituted a record, were in the main, of a high standard, especially the sheep and the draught horses. The Canterbury Agricultural College secured the prize for the most points in sheep, scoring principally in Border Leicesters, though it also made a good showing in English Leicesters and Shropshire Downs.
