PENSIONS FOR AGED POOR.
CANADIAN BILL INTRODUCED.
GOVERNMENT OPPOSITION,

Ottawa, March 5. As Old Age Pensions Bill on the lines of ihnse adopted in Australia and New Zealand has been introduced by an Opposition member in the House of Commons.
Mr. White (Finance Minister) yesterday opposed the measure, declaring that public opinion in Canada was not ready for such action.
